Free Government Touch Screen Phones: What are They?

No one can think about being without a cell phone these days. It has become an indispensable way to contact our loved ones and friends and also a crucial way to contact our doctors (and 911) in the case of an emergency. If you're applying for a job too, the surest way to get through to you is your cell. Years after the Great Recession, things are still tough for the average American and among other things, the choice of sticking with the phone bills for your mobile has become a bit of a struggle for most. Because of this, the US government has initiated the Lifeline Assistance Program. A government program that provides free government touch screen phones to low-income consumers (for example a household income that is at or below 135% of the federal poverty level), making sure everyone can keep in touch.

To Wrap This Up!
Phone companies that are part of the Lifeline Assistance Program offer plans with different features and products. A free government touch screen phone plan in one state may not be the same as in another and this is mostly because of FTC regulations as well as the geographical features of the area. There may also be a number of cell phone companies that offer free cell phone services in one area, while some may have two or three. As a smart consumer, you have to analyze the pros and cons of the providers in your state or area to find the right government-backed plan that will suit your needs.
